this was a gift for someone and i never play it, but everytime i come home the guy is playing it
Also, they still haven't figured out how to fix the glitch of computer controlled players putting the puck in their own net. I never knew they could make a hockey game this realistic. Overall though great job - You have certainly broken the mold again EA Sports. (This has been an issue since the first game came out back in '92). The "Be A Pro" section is amazing and it lets you rise from the minors to be an NHL all-star. There are a few negitives - The goalies are sometimes unrealistically hard to score on.
Like all games it can get a little old playing the same teams and becoming a "star" but its one that you should around when you have the guys over. The graphics are great, even the little things such as ice wear during the game. I like this game a lot. It is challenging yet you get better every time you play.
If you're a hockey fan of any kind, even if you like the AHL or any of the European leagues they have them. Hockey translates very well on the PS3 and this game takes it to levels not reached by any other. Incredible depth to the game. I sold my copy of NHL09 and had to repurchase on Amazon because I missed it so much. The Best Sports Game PS3 has to offer.
I found this at a store for about half off the retail price and picked it up. I am not just saying this, I have not owned a Hockey game since Blades of Steel from the NES. Very minor negative What a great game, if you like sports games this is a must buyPros- Great Play control, challenging, fun fun funCons- It has taken me awhile to adjust to the hockey game, it would be good to have a beginner mode like madden has. I have played hockey games since Blades of Steel but not bothered to own them. I am just not a huge hockey fan.
